Gaming parlour
Created by Scenografia International Srl in Rome, furnished and decorated using velvet and gold leaf. The parlour project includes the construction of wooden pillars with trabeation for the entrance, decorated with gold leaf and arranged in three parallel orders so as to highlight depth when in perspective. All the parlour’s walls are covered with wooden panels lined with black velvet and decorated with stud trim laid out in a diamond pattern. Raised playing card symbols are placed alternately where the stud trim forming the diamonds intersect. The cash desk, bar counter and light fittings are all made of wood, decorated with gold leaf and are backlit thus highlighting the playing card design on the front.
Premises used as a gaming and slot machine parlour in Rome, the venue is undoubtedly spectacular while still being linked to a furnishing theme.
The parlour is split into two levels: the first with a long corridor featuring statues and slot machines while the second level offers a bar area, cash desk, lounge areas with sofas and large light fittings.
The reference image is provided by the walls covered in velvet decorated with stud trim and playing cards where the trim intersects, all in a gold colour.
All the counters are decorated with gold leaf and feature backlit box areas containing the images of fragments of playing cards so as to maintain a homogenous effect with the slot machines.
The decoration also includes statues, which are also backlit, that divide and mark out the rooms that are connected by a gold line placed along the whole of the ceiling.
