Exhibition area used for cultural events
Designed by Roberto Ciambrone, it was set up to host exhibitions and events as well as being equipped for video conferences and as a ballroom. The entrance comprises an information desk which leads the public into the main hall – a large, semi-circular area framed by pillars. The design adopted for the room uses sliding external panels measuring 4m x 2m which serve as dynamic display stands that are easy to set up. The main hall was soundproofed with pyramidal panels which go to form a hexagonal false ceiling, decorated with wooden supports. The floor is a light wood colour surrounded by mobile mirrored panels which transform the conference room into a ballroom.
Exhibition venue for shows and events which comprises: a bar area, a main soundproofed room for concerts and dance performances, ten mobile two-sided panels to be used to hang paintings and create itineraries for viewing artists’ works.
The spectacular entrance comprises wooden trellises with a cast iron finish which mark out and blend with the reinforced concrete building.
Not only do the numerous concentric trellises found in the ballroom serve to soundproof the area, but they also mark out a space which becomes the real heart of the venue.
Other panels surround the room, offering the possibility to use the ballroom with mirrored walls while if the panels are rotated they can be used to equip the room for conferences or concerts, and so forth.
